Response to MonTECH

Hello everyone!
On Wed. Oct. 10th I was most fortunate to learn of an incredible resource that is available on campus in the Curry Health Center...MonTECH! What a great thing to know about for future teachers! Our speaker Chris was so nice and knowledgeable, and his presentation really opened my eyes to the cool technology to help and support people with disabilites. It really got me thinking for the first time about the possibility of one day of having a student in my classroom in the future with a disability, how could I help them? I am just thrilled that I learned about MonTECH, what a great and positive tool and such nice people eager to help in any way. I was especially intrigued by the equipment exchange program! It also made me realize how cool technology is becoming and how it can really really help others. Thank you Mary for setting us up with such a great resource base, and thanks to our amazing speaker Chris!

Dear Caitlin,
Although I am a strong nemisis of the color pink, I thought your blog was very lively and pleasing to the eye. I liked the water lilies. I also appreciate the many pictures adorning your blog. This helps me realize what you look like, not that I didn't know. I want more from your "about me" page because I know you are such a great person!

Caitlin, great reflection on the MonTECH presentation. It was also the first time I really thought about having a disabled student in my future classroom, and I am excited that there are so many technologies available to keep disabled students from having to be segregated from their peers. Anyway, thanks for all of your hard work on our project, and especially thank you for being so understanding and comforting when I was stressed out. I really enjoyed working with you, and I hope we can get together just for fun sometime.
