Hello all of the cool people here in Missoula!
I am so flipping excited about the snow! I can't wait to go snowboarding, and have a snowball fight with someone, anyone! I was a little bummed out though about the trees breaking off! I was just so happy that it actually snowed all night, and the snow stuck to the ground! I remember last winter in Missoula when I first moved down here there was no snow at all...sad. Today is a great day, I'm so glad taht winter isn't compeletly gone yet from Montana! Peace out everyone, and enjoy the snow!
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving-have fun and drive safe, beware of the turkey coma! LOL

Response to MonTECH
Hello everyone!
On Wed. Oct. 10th I was most fortunate to learn of an incredible resource that is available on campus in the Curry Health Center...MonTECH! What a great thing to know about for future teachers! Our speaker Chris was so nice and knowledgeable, and his presentation really opened my eyes to the cool technology to help and support people with disabilites. It really got me thinking for the first time about the possibility of one day of having a student in my classroom in the future with a disability, how could I help them? I am just thrilled that I learned about MonTECH, what a great and positive tool and such nice people eager to help in any way. I was especially intrigued by the equipment exchange program! It also made me realize how cool technology is becoming and how it can really really help others. Thank you Mary for setting us up with such a great resource base, and thanks to our amazing speaker Chris!

Internet safety
The other day (Sept 19th) we had a guest speaker about internet safety, and I've got to say, I learned a lot! I was very impressed with our guest speaker Russ. He was very knowledgeable and easy to understand, and some of the things he discussed I knew, while others kind of freaked me out! I don't know how safe I feel about the social networking now, or sharing wireless connections with strangers! I feel like Russ's speech made me much more savvy about internet safety, thank you so much for bringing him in Mary!
